Professor Nishimura was in charge of the section on "Language" in the "3STEP Series: Physical Anthropology," a biological anthropology textbook to be published by Showado in April.

It covers various topics related to human evolution and is compiled as an introductory book for first-time students who have just entered university. It was written with the policy of keeping technical terms to a minimum, so I think it can also be enjoyed by the non-specialist reader.

The publisher ordered me to completely rewrite my first draft, saying that it was written for specialists and that I didn't understand the purpose of the book at all. So, it's finished as an introductory book.

Each chapter is a self-contained read, so no matter where you start, you'll enjoy it.
