The graduation ceremony was held at Osaka Castle Hall on March 25th!
Congratulations, Fujiwara-san.

In our department , students receive their diplomas from their supervisors in their respective laboratories.

We took a group photo at the usual spot, with Fujiwara's proud expression.
Since academic gowns can only be worn on occasions like this, they will be a memory that will last a lifetime. (Shitara) I wish I had tried wearing one too.
In his hand is the official mascot of Osaka University, the "Wani-Hakase" meaning a "Dr. crocodile" in Japanese. He has finally caught up.
This time, we have a kamo (duck) Sukiyaki ordered from Torinago in Fukuchiyama (Thank you, Nishimura-sensei!).

The texture of the shredded white leeks and the flavor of the duck are enveloped in the broth. It was delicious.

I also enjoyed some sparkling sake as a gift from Adomi-san, who will be entering his doctoral program in April. It had a mysterious taste.

We presented Professor Nakano with a group photo from his recent retirement celebration.
I'm glad that he was pleased.

It has already been five years since Fujiwara-san started his graduate student life during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he has devoted hisself to research day and night.
He is very nervous when revising his thesis, but he managed to complete it in time and successfully earned his Ph.D. degree in three years.
This will be the last time he sees the main building that he used to visit.

Cherry blossoms in front of the experimental building. It's spring.
